Who is responsible

This is Manuel Climent's personal site. I run it myself, as Climent Media (KVK 96588012), from Utrecht, the Netherlands. You can reach me at manuel@climentmedia.com.

What happens when you visit

Until you choose in the cookie notice, this site loads nothing from other companies and stores nothing in your browser: the text, the photo and the fonts are all served from this domain. It has no forms. The email links open your own email program.

Analytics, only if you accept

If you accept, the site loads Google Tag Manager and, through it, Google Analytics 4. It records which pages are viewed and for how long, how you arrived (for example from a search or a link), the approximate location that Google derives from your IP address, your type of device and browser, and whether you click my email address or go on to climentmedia.com. I use it only to know whether this page is useful and whether it sends people to Climent Media.

Google Analytics does not keep your IP address. The legal basis is your consent (GDPR article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time with “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page, and if you decline, none of this is loaded. What is stored in your browser is listed on the cookies page.

Google, and where the data goes

Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager are provided by Google Ireland Limited. Google may process the data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States; those transfers rely on the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. The analytics data is kept for 14 months and then deleted.

What the server records

The site is hosted by Hostinger International Ltd, on a server in the Netherlands. Like any web server, it records technical logs of each request: the IP address, the date and time, the page asked for and what the browser says about itself. Those logs exist to keep the site working and secure, they are kept by the host under its own policy, and I don't use them to identify anyone.

If you email me

I use your message and your address only to reply to you, and I keep the conversation for as long as it is useful to both of us. Nothing you send is shared or used for marketing.

Your rights

You can ask me to see, correct or delete any personal data I hold about you, or object to how it is used, by writing to the address above. Withdrawing your consent to analytics does not affect what was recorded before you withdrew it. You can also complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
